REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY
Online Marriage
If you’d like to cancel your payment and ceremony, the outcome of that will be based on the status of your application. Your refund amount can be found based on the information below:
FULL: 100% REFUND:
You can receive a full refund for your ceremony if you are requesting this option with more than 24 hours notice before your ceremony takes place.
Cases where it is not a full refund for a refund request more than 24 hours notice of your ceremony:
- If fees have already been paid on our end then they will be subtracted from the refund total.
- We provide significant assistance with the marriage license application, and speeding up the processing of your application. For this reason, we unfortunately cannot grant a full refund in cases where a customer has accessed our full marriage license application assistance; when we assist with a manual ID verification, or when we assist with an error correction of any kind. You will receive a refund minus a $100 fee, which will be kept and can be used for future credit.
HALF: 50% REFUND:
You can receive a 50% refund for your ceremony if you are requesting this option within 24 hours of your ceremony. ** The reason being is because we will already have paid for a portion of the fees.
NONE: NO REFUND
If your ceremony has been completed, you won’t be eligible for a refund. A ceremony is completed if your officiant is there on the call at your specified time, under two different circumstances:
1) You don’t show up: this is when you don’t show up, and you don’t email us before notifying us of your absence.
2) If you are on the call and your officiant successfully performs the ceremony.
Additionally, if it has been 60 days or more since your purchase date, you will not be eligible for a refund. (you have up to 60 days after your purchase to request a refund)
Special case
In the case that you purchase the base package twice (unless it’s a duplicate payment by accident), and request a refund on the second purchase, you are only eligible to receive up to a 66% refund, given there are processor fees associated with refunds. If a third purchase of the base package is made, you will not be eligible for a refund.
